Default Can't enable "Run" and "Settings, Taskbar" again :-(

I have on two computer used the policy editor to
disable taskbar settings ("NoSetTaskBar") and the
"Run" from the start menu ("NoRun").

When I need to change something on the Taskbar,
I justed changed the policy and logged on/off.

BUT know - on BOTH computers - removing the
policies doesn't help. They won't get back !!!!

So I can't get my taskbar properties (only get
the message about restrictions) not the "Run".

What other settings (apart from policies) could
disable these? And what should I check to get
them back? Something must have been changed :-(

Extra info. Actually the disabled item shows as NOT disabled in
"Policy editor" (even though I have NOT removed the restrictions).

Applies to ALL my policy restrictions.

But STILL they ARE active (the restrivtions work, item are hidden,
even if the policy flags in the registry for hiding them are gone).

Are the policy flags moved? Or what on earth is going on here?

Why has the policy setting been set to "show" w/o my interaction?
And why are the policy restrictions still active w/o the settings?

Default Re: Can't enable "Run" and "Settings, Taskbar" again :-(

I figured out what was the cause :-/

"Poledit" writes policies to "current_user" in the registry.

But for some reason the policies here has been duplicated to the
policy section under "local_machine" (on both computers).

And then changing them in "Poledit" won't help, as that only changes
the ones in "current_user" (the ones in "local_machine" still work).

Question is: WHY has the keys been copied from "HKCU" to "HKLM"?

And maybe even more: By what program, patch, update etc ?
