Default Can I delete media control devices safely?

Have a midi problem with a new audio card I purchased - it does not
work with my midi piano.

I recently discovered (after testing my midi piano on another
computer) that I must have a conflict or something with my new midi
card & winxp.

* I tested my midi piano works on another older computer, so I
eliminated both the cable and the piano as a suspect in this problem.

I am trying to clear/uninstall all of the Creative SoundBlaster audio
drivers and files (that came with the new sound card) and the SoundMax
files/drivers (that came with the onboard audio motherboard) so I can
start fresh with this new audio card

** Please note that the onboard audio device is NOW turned OFF in the
bios.

I really want to be sure I get rid of all the drivers, entries etc BUT
should I go into the Device Manager and delete the files that are
associated with media control devices :
In the MEDIA DEVICE CONTROL PROPERTIES - their is a bunch of .dll -
MCIwave.dll , MCIseq.dll etc
Can I safetly delete those?

Should I delete the entire folder from the :
System > Devices Manager > Hardware > Sound Video and Game controller
> ** MEDIA CONTROL DEVICES

If there is something else I should do to clear all the audio midi
entries, please let me know that as well.

I hope this is clear.

Thanks
