Default Which browser?

Which browser except IE, Mozilla Firefox and Opera should I download if I
want a faster one than IE? I didn't like Mozilla Firefox and Opera. Which
old version of Netscape is best?

All browsers have a similar rendering time. Speed is affected by
what types of content plug-ins/add-ons you have ( Java, QTime).
You've really boxed yourself into a limited choice if you are only
considering an old Netscape browser. Better to tune you network
parameters and control the browsers internal settings than using
an old/obsolete/non-secure browser. Also security software hooks
into browsers and can introduce additional page loading time.

Actually Maxthon which you didn't mention is my favorite. You don't
really need addons as it is already built in for most wanted features.
Then again it can use IE and Maxthon addons too. Or the Triton or the
Gecko browser engines too. It is hard to find all of this under one
roof.

Maxthon is a good alternate choice, thanks for the reminder.

What didn't you like about the Gecko (Mozilla, Opera) browsers? In
Mozilla, there are many extensions, themes, tweaks, to make it the way
you like it.

A new Netscape (browser only) is due out before long also, but it, like
7.2 & 8, has its roots in Mozilla also.

If you are looking at Maxthon I would suggest you also check out Avant. I tried both but Avant edged out for
me.

Features are nearly identical. I preferred the user interface and I was able to place toolbars where I wanted
them.
