I hate the pop-up ads so I played around and found out how to stop them!

In the main Avira folder, rename:
avnotify.exe to avnotify.exe.bak and
avnotify.dll to avnotify.dll.bak

and create replacements:
Just create two empty, zero byte, text files and name them avnotify.exe and avnotify.dll

No more ads! Enjoy!

Your welcome! I'm usually the only one with correct and workable solutions.

The poster's problem was with ads, (...was advertising...) and my solution removes the ads
altogether!
