Default Automatic Updates

Hi guys,

Am re-building my daughter's laptop with a new enormous hard disc.
Reloaded XP from the back-up disc that came with the laptop. All OK
I am now getting a recurrent update message:

The following updates were not installed:
Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1

Any solutions?

Your help, as ever, extremely appreciated.

Why don't you simply install that update.
"Windows Installer 3.1 Redistributable (v2)"

Updates are not installed successfully from Windows Update, from Microsoft
Update, or by using Automatic Updates after you repair a Windows XP
installation:
