Default Auto Locking after Auto Login?

Hi, I've come across an odd situation. We have a number of systems
that are stand-alone machines running windows XP. We use the reg keys
under Winlogon to set the systems to auto logon. On some sites, they
actually log into a domain, others not. One of the machines, on a
domain site, auto-logs in fine, displays the desktop and icons for
about 2 seconds, and then instantly goes to "this computer is locked,
only the admin/user can unlock it.. etc"

If this machined does NOT log into the domain, it works fine. if I
manually log into the domain, it does not do it. only when it auto
logs into the domain. I have 3 other machines on that site however,
all happily able to log into the domain automatically, so its not
group policy related that I can figure.

Any ideas?

Thanks

See if this applies:

CAUSE: This behavior can occur for either of the following reasons:

When the default screen saver is set to use a non-existent screen saver
program.
When you use a corrupted screen saver that is password protected.

almost, but not quite it seems. This is happening AFTER the AutoLogon
happens. the box starts up, completes an Auto logon, then immediately
goes to the locked page.

Those both appear to relate to this happening while sitting idle at
the logon screen.

Any further ideas? This is a rather bizzare problem. I've hunted down
nearly every registry entry I can find relating to locking and auto
logon, but still no luck!
