Analog in/ digital out

I'm trying figure out how to record music from analog inputs and hear them
through my integrated audio sound. My PC has a digital coaxial output which
is connected to my 5.1 receiver through Realtek HD audio. I've tried
connecting it into RCA inputs but can't figure out how to hear the sound.
Anybody know how?
