Default Awaiting DLink reply

I sent Dlink a mail as well but while awaiting a reply.
Until that unforseen point in time,
could you make it more CLEAR to a newbie like me, whether you found a sollution to the problem, does the windows defender trick work?

Thanks A Lot

Default Answer from D-Link

Hi Everyone,

I got an answer from Dlink, referring to my specific DWL-G122

"Please de-install your wireless device and install the following driver:

ftp://ftp.dlink.de/dwl/dwl-g122/driver_software/DWL-G122_drv_Rev-B1v2.04_Rev-C1v3.30-Build-62224-S0043-ML15.zip"

Good Luck

Default Quick patch fix

Hi all

I had the same problem, and after looking through a number of forums, I found there was a very quick and easy solution to the error messages at this site:

The procedure entry point apsGetInterfaceCount could not be located in the dynamic link library wlanapi.dll

It solved the problem, but it's suspiciously straightforward. I guess I'll have to wait and see if my computer explodes in a couple of days.

Hope it works for you too.

The AirGCFG.exe problem is a known problem with wireless NIC cards and SP3.
The NIC card manufacturers have not been willing to update their drivers to fix this.
Disableing the NIC monitoring software (AirGCFG) covers the problem, but does not solve it.
If you don't have Windows Defender (recommended) to access their startup control,
you can use MSCONFIG.
Go to START-RUN and type in
msconfig
Then open the Startup tab and uncheck the items you do not want to startup when Windows starts up.
