Is the address line of the browser the same as the title line?

I use a wireless aircard. I configured the devise to open the browser with
MSN.com.
No problemo. But if I close the browser then reopen it with the desktop IE
icon, it opens with google, even after changing the address in internet
options.
Can the registry be edited to eliminate the google address and how and where
do I accomplish the task?
