I have integrated Windows XP service Pack 2, additional Post service pack 2
hotfixes, IE7 and Windows Media Player 11 into Windows XP installation source
to approx 850MB.
Extracted boot image "Microsoft Corporation.img" from the original Windows
XP CD using IsoBuster, then Nero to create a bootable DVD but no success.
I used the same options as creating a bootable CD by specifying the image
file "Microsoft Corporation.img", No Emulation, and number of loaded sectors
= 4.
Creating a bootable CD works flawlessly but I am having problems with a
bootable DVD. Is the boot sector on a CD different to that of a DVD?
Can Microsoft provide a bootable DVD image that I can download from somewhere?
easiest solution is to DL a torrent of XP image. burn it to make sure it is in fact bootable. then mount it, edit it to suit your needs, burn it again with your stuffs.
ps, check comments of the torrent and ensure its known good without problems, and virus free. All youd need for that is Nero and PowerISO or equivalents. least amount of brain work.
Create a Slip Stream version of Windows XP using "Autostreamer 1.0.33". You
can automate the slipstreaming and create an ISO image of WXP which you can
burn to a DVD. Check the instructions in http://www.webtree.ca/windowsxp/slipstream.htm
