Windows XP SP2

After I install Windows XP SP2 update and the computer restarts, it does not
return to Windows. It goes to a page that states: Safe Mode, Restart Computer
Normally etc. How can I resolve that problem.

Maybe select safe mode with cmd prompt,enter xp as administrator,in
cmd type:CHKDSK C: /F Agree to restart,exit cmd,restart pc.
