Default Windows XP service pack 3 accessing internet

We use ISA server to control internet access. Not all of my clients
are allowed access. Two of these people have computers that I have installed
service pack 3 for Windows XP on. They are constantly barraged by the proxy
server logon screen to access the internet. Does anyone know what service
pack 3 is doing and how to turn it off?

Thanks,

If Service Pack 3 is causing you trouble, you can always go back and
uninstall it.

I would rather use it. It is much more convenient than installing the 90 or
so updates since SP2.

What makes you think SP3 is doing something here? Not saying you're wrong,
just saying I've not seen this problem behind an ISA server in my testing of
SP3. I'd wonder what is trying to get onto the internet, an updated
component or something else. You might try using wireshark to capture the
traffic coming from a troublesome PC to see what is trying to 'dial' out.
