Win XP Repair stops installing at unsigned driver (Sigmatel)
I am running the WIN XP OS repair on 3 year old installation on my Dell
5100C. Everything is fine up until it wants to load the Sigmatel Driver.
Then it asks for permission to continue, but since the mouse and keyboard USB
drivers are unloded (I checked by playing with my Mouse until it stopped, a
few seconds before the Sigmatel driver came up), I cannot continue. Ther is
no port for for PS 1 mouse.
What is the way to work around this? Is there a command line option for
forcing either the installation or ignoring of unsigned drivers?

try getting a ps2 mouse and keyboard

Re: Win XP Repair stops installing at unsigned driver (Sigmatel)
that's one of the problems with dell computers that they "don't" have a ps2
port one option is to use a microsoft usb keyboard with usb mouse port best
place to find a cheap one is if your goodwill has a computer department or
even salvation army (of course they will be used but you can go back to your
original keyboard when your done)
other option is to get a new one but they wont be cheap
