Default service pack 2: combining XP and SP2 Question

Re article : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/894950/
Whenever you have to reinstall XP its a pain to go through all the steps to
get to SP2. I found this article interesting but I cannot seem to make the
disk image bootable. I used (as per instructions) bbie.exe and extracted the
boot image file image1.bin from the XP disk but when I run Nero to burn a
"bootable" CD, it asks for the image file with an extension .img and the
image file created is image.bin....The article does everything in detail (4
part article) but when it tells you how to extract the image file, it doesn't
tell you what to do with it.

How do I use it? I tried putting it on the disk with all the other files,
didn't work.
Anyone ever try this??

If all you want to do is slipstream SP2 with your original disk - have a look at
