Security on RIS

We are having issues with a legacy application. when we install from a RIS
image the application does not work. when we do a install from cd it is
fine. I am curious what security template is associated with a clean install
and what is in a RIS image?
any thoughts on what it could be?

there is a domain policy applied to both machines..
I have checked policy settings on both machines and they are identical. I
am stumped.

thanks, how would I apply compatws to a RIS pc?
