Question concerning Microsoft OS Software Re-Activation.

Hello. I'm helping to build a computer and recently, after a successful
install of everything, we went online where peculiar things started happening
(Yes we'd had an Internet Security Suite installed and were working on MS
Updates at the time...enough said). After discussing our options, we've
decided to start from scratch and do a clean re-install of the OS and
everything else.
My question: After setting up the computer and going BACK on-line to
reinstall updates etc., will there be a conflict when we re-activate our copy
of the Windows XP OS? (We'd done it successfully the first time...before the
problems started).
Any information concerning this would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You are not really "re-activating" it - just activating... Just consider
each time a new process. heh

Anyway - no trouble should be expected. You can activate a copy any Windows
XP license as often as you desire on the same given computer. It may force
you to "activate by telephone" - but that call is generally automated and
over in a flash.

Three posts - same question - different wording each time...??

Anyway - your Windows XP Product key (if OEM) was on a sticker on the
computer/unused sticker in the cheap packaging. If Retail version - on the
CD case it came in.

Depending on what you mean by 'crashed' and what has occurred *since* said
'crash' - you may be able to use a BartPE type CD with a certain version of
Magic JellyBean KeyFinder to get the product key from the defunct install...
But you would have to give more details, naturally.
