problem with limited access account

I've been having problems printing checks. We have quicken and a check
writing software program. Quicken uses the check writing software to print
the checks.

From the limited access account, I used "run as" to open quicken and then
tried to print checks but it gave an error from the check writing software.

I tried starting the check writing software using "run as" and then
tried to print the checks (from quicken) but got an error message to
reinstall the
check writing program.

The program is already installed into the administrator account and checks
get printed correctly from that account.

Is there a way to be able to enable the check writing software in the
limited account?

Quicken (Intuit) is well known for their inability to run with limited
accounts. Your problem is actually with the software in question -
Quicken/Intuit are the ones you should be talking to.

In most cases where software has issues running as a regular user - a few
registry permissions and file/directory permissions have to be loosened to
allow the regular accounts access to said directories/registry entries -
which allows the standard user accounts to run the software. It's been a
long time since I did anything with Intuit/Quicken - and you mentioned no
specific version of the software (you'll need to do that when speaking with
them) - but I know in older versions, sometimes a 'viable' solution was not
found (at least not one I found acceptable - running as power user/admin is
not acceptable to me. Thus why it has been a while since I messed with any
of the Intuit/Quicken stuff.)

Of course - your problem with the printers may have an easy fix - check
their web page FAQs and do Google searches on the exact errors you are
seeing.
