Default A problem on IIS

Hi there,

I need to do a little thing on IIS, so I installed IIS on Windows XP. At the
beginnng, I could not access .htm and .aspx files using browser, but .gif is
fine. After I gave Everyone read permission on C:\inetpub\wwwroot, IE can
read .htm files very well, but .aspx doesn't work at all. HTTP 500 is
returned. I checked Event, in System,

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: W3SVC
Event Category: None
Event ID: 36
Date: 12/13/2007
Time: 10:33:23 AM
User: N/A
Computer: RAY
Description:
The server failed to load application '/LM/W3SVC/1/ROOT'. The error was
'General access denied error
'.

It is about permission, hence when you changed the permission to read you
got access to the htm and the gifs.
PRB: ASP pages do not process and DCOM event 10010 appears in the system
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/327153/

Server Application Error Message: "The server failed to load application"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297519
Make sure to read and implement a safe and secure permission or you will
end up naked??.
