When I press F12 on a client computer it goes straight to displaying the
images. I want it to ask for a password, how can I control access to PXE boot?
Go into the BIOS options and see if it has that option and set it..

Usually, take it out of the boot order from the machine's BIOS, then
password the BIOS (which you should be doing anyway, of course).
with my RIS server users were always asked for a UN and PW, now with WDS it
seems they are not after pressing F12. Sure I have network boot usually
removed from BIOS but I am concerned that some don't. I am surprised I cant
set permissions somewhere on the WDS boot images that will force a UN and PW
verification?
