Partition size limitation when new Winxp Install?

Building a new system and have an unpartitioned 320gb hard drive with
troubles installing winxp-pro. Used Bart's PE Builder to get a windows
environment but error message comes up when running winnt32.exe that no
valid partition is present even though it was there on the other computer
which I used to do a full partition using NTFS. I am wondering if my slip
streamed winxp+sp2 install disc is limited in seeing a big hard drive. Is
there a limitation?

Would it be better to partition to 10gb for the c: drive and use the rest
for programs, etc, or is there a way of getting winxp installed with the
320gb drive?

First - why would you use BartPE? Why not just boot from your Windows XP
CD?
Secondly - no - if there is a limit - 320GB is FAR under it.
Last - your system drive - if you choose to partition - I'd go 20+GB. 40GB
would be my recomendation give your drive size.

You might need an F6 installation/boot.

1. My WinXP-Pro is a corporate version that is not bootable without SP1 or
SP2 so it much have a size limitation since when I put the 320GB drive in
another PC it senses that something needed to change or be modified to view
a HD so big. BartPE gives me a chance to have CD access so I can use a new
unbootable WinXP-Pro that has been slip streamed with SP2. If I could find
or make a bootable CD with CDROM support I won't need to us BartPE. Is there
such?
2. Without SP there seems to be a limit.
3. I have a WinME bootable floppy so should I partition the first 10GB in
Fat32 since I believe the floppy can not see a NTFS hard drive?

What is a F6 installation/boot?
