OEM English Win XP License key valid for an OEM French Win XP?

Hi!

I need to know if we can use a OEM license key of Windows XP that was
provided with an English version of XP, for a clean install of a French
Windows XP?

Both are OEM Windows XP, but legally I'm not sur if that can be done...
