Default No keyboard in XP Setup GUI

I am attempting to run a repair on Windows XP Pro. Everything is fine until
the GUI asks for the Product ID. I can not type it in, becuase the keyboard
is no longer responding. It works fine when booting off the CD. My mouse also
works fine in the GUI. Any ideas?
