ms config start up question

Hi all,

I log on as normal, (I am the system administrator) and when I try to change
the start up in ms config; I get an error message that says "Access denied,
error was returned while attempting to change a service. You may need to log
on using an administrator account to make the specified changes."

I am also the only user account listed, the guest account is disabled.

I want to make changes to the start up menu, but cann't. Any ideas about
what I should do??
