Default Mixed-Mode problem after WDS configuration

Hello,

i am testing WDS and i have a problem.
Here are the steps i follow on a Windows 2003 server:
- RIS installation
- RIS setup (adding WinXP) --> Test OK
- WDS installation
- initialize WDS configuration
- Add boot images from Vista
- Add Install images from Vista

On a remote computer (Physical or virtual):
- Boot and press F12
- Computer get an IP adress
- Press F12
- It displays OSCHOOSER screen and not the menu for the mixed-mode with the
choice:
- Microsoft Windows Longhorn Setup (x86)
- Remote Installations Services

Someone can help me ?

Thanks a lot in advance

Default RE: Mixed-Mode problem after WDS configuration

Hi Edouard
Your DHCP, is it setup to supply the Helper server start-up / boot-up files.
It is usually spesified under your Server options or Scope options in the
DHCP console.
Or you can specify it it is Options "066 Boot Server Hort Name" and "067
Bootfile Name"
Regards

Default RE: Mixed-Mode problem after WDS configuration

Many thanks for your answer !!!

In fact the IPHelper os configured on the LAN to forward all PXE request to
the RIS servers.

Is this the parameter i have to configure (IPHELPER)?
Or is it on the RIS server (WDS) directly?

Thanks in advance.

Edouard
