Internet connection sharing issue in Windows XP home edition
OK I am using Windows XP Home. I have went throught he basics of setting up
the connection.
Here is the setup
charter.net cable connection modem using cat 5 to #1 port on a d-link
DES-1105 5 port switch.
Then 2 computers by cat 5 to the #2, and #3 port on the switch.
I have went to the connection on the one I am going to setup as host/master
of the connection share.
I went to the connection (called local area connection) and right clicked on
it.
I chose properties
I chose advanced
I see no enable connection sharing option.
Without this it is impossible to share the connection or setup the different

If you want to use ICS, the computer providing ICS has to have two
network interfaces: one connected to the cable modem, and the other
connected to the ethernet switch.
