Default Install XP image on a different partition

Hi,

I created a ghost image (using sysprep) of an XP system (XP was installed on
first partition).
For testing purposes I need to contantly re-install this image on the same
system, but, sometimes I need multiboot (dos, xp, linux, vista).
So, sometimes I install that XP image on the second partition.
All the OS are able to boot without problem (each os on a different
partition).
But for the XP partition, it boots up the first time, runs the setup... and
in the last step (saving settings) it reboots but... then the system is not
able to boot because the XP setup overwrote the system partition (C: which
contains vista) which contains the boot loader.
Anybody know how to solve this? Is there something I can do while preparing
the system with syspre.exe to make the deployment image "drive free" so it
can boot from any other partition??

Thanks
