How to you make a XP disk bootable that no longer seems to have a boot sector?
I have a system that no longer seems to boot. I can boot from a CD or floppy
and get into the command line recovery mode and everything seems to be fine.
Chkdisk finds no problems. FixBoot runs and gives no errors but does not
seem to make the disk bootable.

What happens when you try to boot from the disk? What, if any, error
messages are you receiving? What changes have you recently made to the
machine?
At the Recovery Console issue FIXMBR on the disk.
