How do I write to a DVD

I just got a new computer with a DVD writer. Every time I try to use Windows
Explorer to copy files or folders to a blank DVD-RW, I get an error message
"Windows encountered a problem. . .", with the option of Retry, Skip, or
Cancel. Retrying always gives back the same message.

I have succeeded to write to a CD-R disk.

How do I write files/folders to a DVD?

You write to a DVD using a third party application such as Easy CD Creator
or Nero. XP does not include DVD writing support.

You won't be able to burn the DVD's using the windows as you need to have
the third party software on the computer to Burn the DVD's like Nero However
you can burn CD's without any problem
