I have a simple question that I can't remember how to solve. I have a
CD Rom that launches the installer automatically every time I put it
in. What's the command to be able to access the actual contents of
the CD in an explorer view?
Just close out the application/installer that launches, you should now by
able to view the CD contents.

Hold down the Shift key as you put the cd in the drive. This will bypass
the autorun. Then go to My Computer and find the optical drive.
right-click on it and choose "Explore".

Even easier: just press and hold the Shift key before inserting the
CD and until it spins up and the volume shows in Explorer.
