Recover files backup up in windows 3.1x

hi,

I have some old data that has been backed up using the windows 3.1x backup
system.
is there a way for retreiving the data in windows XP?

You will need first to instal the Win3.1 backup software
(and it may need compatibility adjustment, done fastest
via right click and / properties.) Current MS backup
software is not backwards compatible i.e. cannot read
files created by 3.1 software.
