Default help and support

When I go to control panel, help and support, wendows news groups I do not
get windows news groups, but windows home page. how can I fix this? thanks

You could add
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.mspx to your
Internet Explorer Favorites (or other browser's bookmarks).

You really should set up a news account in Outlook Express or another
news reader application for the msnews.microsoft.com server though. A
log in password is not required. Make sure you enter a fake email
address for THAT account (see mine for an example) so you don't get
swamped with SPAM though. Your email address for the news account
doesn't have to match any of your actual email account addresses. The
wizard for setting up news accounts is pretty self explanitary. Use the
standard port number.
