Right click in the log area - where all of the reported text is listed. You
should see a "clear log" option in that right click menu.

I'm guessing that you're referring to the error log that's
displayed when you do the following;
From the Start menu, open Help and Support
Under "Pick a Task", select "Use Tools to view your computer
information and diagnose problems"
In the left hand column, select "Advanced System Information"
In the right hand pane, select "View the error log".

If that's the case go to Control Panel and double click
Administrative Tools.
In Administrative Tools, double click Event Viewer.
In the left hand column of Event Viewer, right click
Application and select "Clear all events" from the menu that
drops down.
Note: Selecting Properties from this menu allows you to limit
the size of the log as well as clear events.
You'll be offered the option to save the event log.
Do the same for System.

Just out of curiosity, why do you want to clear this log? You
can limit the amount of information retained in this log by
making changes in the Properties sheet for each event log.

Good luck
