DVD sound problem

Help! I can playback music, system sounds are working, BUT dvd plays with no
sound.. I have reinstalled the driver for my sound blaster live card, but the
problem persists.

OK - silly question , what dvd player ?

May be a codec problem, try VLC Player, it plays most video file types.
