Default Which Dummies Book???

Hello all -

I have been using a Mac at home for about 15 years and Windows at work
for about the same period of time, so Windows is not an entirely foreign
operating system to me but, since the IT folks at work keep it up and
running, I really haven't had to know its inner working, so to speak. By
that I mean, for example, how to install downloads, what folders to put
them into, how to move them there, etc.
I have a new dual-core Mac and have installed Windows XP Home Edition,
SP2, on one partition and need to know more about Windows. I checked
out the Dummies series of books on Amazon and there are about a dozen
titles just for Windows XP. Everything from WINDOWS XP FOR DUMMIES QUICK
REFERENCE to Windows XP Gigabook for Dummies.
Can anyone suggest which of the many books on the subject might be best
for a guy like myself?
And while we are on the subject, can anyone recommend any sites or
books on the security aspects of running a Windows machine on the web?
Many thanks,
Carl

Your public library carries many of them so you can check them out
yourself.

Just get a "Dummies" book for whatever OS the machine at work uses.
You may want to go to a book store and browse through the books first
though.

BTW: you probably don't need a book as Windows Help or a Google search will
probably cover most of your questions
