Default context menu

Here's the story as best as I can tell. When I right click a batch file my
context menu no longer gives me the options "open", "edit", or "print". My
file pull-down in windows explorer does, but obviously you can't easily get
to this when you are working on a batch file that is on your desktop. I've
created another user profile and when I switch users the other user has the
three options available in his right click context menu. Is there any way to
get my context menu back without having to become this new user?
