Has anyone here upgraded their Compaq C751NR from Vista to XP? I'm on
the verge of doing so, and am interested to know whether you
encountered any particular problems with locating drivers or whatever.
When I bought the machine several months ago HP told me not to worry,
XP would run on it. But I'd like to know if anyone has done it
smoothly.

I understand Microsoft thinks it's a downgrade. Many of their users
disagree. In particular those with low end machines where the vendor
was forced to install Vista despite it being a terrible dog on the
machine.
Anyhow, I'll track the drivers down elsewhere if necessary.

You may think going from Vista to XP is an upgrade, but it's
considered a downgrade. Downgrades are never supported. The only way
to go from Vista to XP is by clean installing XP.
Sorry, I know nothing about the driver situation on that particular
computer.
