Yeah, Lu Powell pointed that out. Can't believe I've gone all these years
without knowing that one. Now I just have to retrain myself. I still
occasionally try to use just microsoft, absent-mindedly hitting Enter before
finishing it, so maybe it won't be that hard.

Yes, I saw that message just after I posted my own. Sorry for the
duplication.

LOL! I don't use IE directly, but run it with the Maxthon shell on top of
it. One of Maxthon's enhancement's to plain IE is in this very area. Besides
Ctrl-Enter, there is also Shift-Enter, which adds www. and .net, and
Ctrl-Shift-Enter, which adds www. and .org. I don't have any trouble
remembering Ctrl-Enter, but I constantly mix up the other two.

For IE 7, Microsoft you can also use CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER to add a suffix of your
choosing. Helpful if you visit a lot of .ca or .co.uk sites.

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pro.../quickref.mspx

Change website address suffix* Tools > Internet Options > Languages

* For example, if you chose "net" for the website suffix, pressing
CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER would add "http://www." to the beginning and ".net" to the
end of the address in the Address Bar.
