Default Change Services View in Computer Mgmnt

In Windows XP, is there a way to get Computer Management, Services to default
to the Standard view / tab vs the Extended view / tab?

You need to open the services console in Author Mode, make your changes, and
save the .msc file.

To open the services console in Author Mode, go to your C:\Windows\System32
folder. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to make a copy of the
services.msc file. Next, right click on services.msc and select Author from the
menu. Click on the Standard tab. Close the console and click Yes when asked if
you want to save the changes.

Take a look at this article for more info.

How can I modify the looks of specific administrative tools in Windows XP and
Windows Server 2003?
