I have installed windows xp on c: drive. I cannot see any folder on
this drive because all of them are hidden. I have checked tools>view
>folder options, everything is normal there. I can access all these
files by typing their address in address bar( e.g c:/program files) .
Whenever I create a new folder in c: drive, it hides automatically as
well. All other drives are working fine.

Go to Start, Control Panel, Folder Options, View, Advanced Settings and
verify that the box before "Show hidden files and folders" is checked
and "Hide protected operating system files " is unchecked. You may need
to scroll down to see the second item. You should also make certain that
the box before "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked.
