Previously I was able to copy text from the address bar in windows explorer
to paste into a document. Now I cannot copy the text. When I highlight the
text and right click, the copy option is available, and I can click on it.
Then when I go to paste the text into a document, the paste option is
unavailable as if there was nothing copied. I don't know if I mistakenly
changed some setting on my computer to cause this to happen. How do I get
this working again?
Try running System Restore to see if that helps. Go to Start->Help and
Support->Pick a task->click System Restore and follow the wizard to revert
back to a date when this worked. Do not go back too far only a day or 2.
If you have an XP CD then pop it in the CD Drive. Close the install screen.
Go to Start->Run and type SFC /SCANNOW then click OK button. Let the System
File Checker run to see if there are corrupt files that need to be replaced.
