Default Calc problem

I have windowsxp with Sp 1&2 installed. Recently while typing in my
wordprocessor, the calc accessory began to periodically pop up, and, has to
be closed before I can continue. It has now become a frequently reoccuring
thing. This is very frustrating, and, I do not know where to start in
isolating the cause of the problem. I use Calc occasionally, but do not have
a problem with disabling the program if that is possible and is the only
solution to the problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Jerry

Do you have a multimedia keyboard with programmable hotkeys? It sounds
like you've programmed one of them to start Calculator.

I was silently suspicious of a hardware problem, especially when this
occured both before and after afer a complete reinstall of XP and all of my
software. You may be on to something there. Is there a specific hotkey
combination that would trigger this occurance?

A keyboard is a keyboard is a keyboard. To me that is. However, this may be
the culprit. It is a Logitech wireless itouch keyboard. I've had it for some
time now. don't know that much about any programble hotkey feature.

Programmable hot key is a feature of the keyboard driver or the OS. You
should consult the
fine manual for the keyboard driver.

Not true. As Jim posted, read your fine manual or go to Logitech's
website for that specific model keyboard and they will have the manual
there.
