Using Notepad on XP at work works different than my Windows 2000
Professional at home. Specifically, when scrolling through a long file,
the "keep scrolling when the cursor is outside the window" function
doesn't work under XP; after scrolling about a screenful, it stops until
you move the mouse. You have to keep the mouse in continual motion to
keep scrolling. (Plus scrolling is just plain slow.)
Every other OS version I've used works as expected. Is this a Notepad
problem, an XP problem, or both? Anyone else noticed this?

Perhaps -
Control panel - Mouse - Wheel - Enable Accelerated Scrolling
