I have Vista Home Premium and Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro. Set up went
smoothly. I set up my Dolby 5:1 speakers and all the tests worked perfectly,
in the THX setup, Media Player setup and in Media Center setup.
The only problem is that none of the programs will use the center or rear
speakers when playing music and I can't get enough volume from the rear and
center speakers for movies either.

Got the latest driver upgrades online, Tried it without the latest upgrades,
and uninstalled the drivers and used web update clean with no luck.
This is similar to what happened upgrading to XP. My graphics card drivers
conflicted with my sound card drivers. I'm still waiting to hear back from
tech. support on that one.
I wonder if the two companies are conspiring to sell more adapters. After
all how could the tests all work and the programs not? especially when the
tests are part of the programs!
