Default wireless keyboard and mouse

I have labtec wireless keyboard and mouse and had no trouble on Win XP but
since moving to Vista I have a lot of trouble with them

The mouse totally looses it's connection after PC been to sleep and so i
can't wake it up without hard switching the machine off (hold down off
button) and then re-scanning to detect the mouse?

Anyone know a possible cure?

The 1st cure would be to go to the manufacturers web pages and download the
Vista drivers for the malfunctioning hardware.

The 2nd cure is to change your hardware.

It is unclear whether Mr. Urban is just a Vista victim like the rest of us
or is a representative of Microsoft. If the former, his naivete is
impressive; if the latter, his effrontery is astounding.

We did exactly as he suggested. Eventually, we replaced our set-up with a
MICROSOFT wireless keyboard and mouse, naturally Vista-certified, and just as
others have reported before us, found it impossible to revive these devices
after 'sleep'. No joy contacting this manufacturer's website!!!

Further, as noted by other users in a different series of whines, sleep does
NOT turn off the monitor at its designated time but only at the later time
set for the whole system.

Microsoft is a real disgrace. They should fined under product labelling laws
in both the USA and the EU (product does not perform as advertised!!) and
made to compensate its Vista victims worldwide.
