I will be staying at a hotel in Cancun next week. They have an Internet cafe
on site and charge exhorbitant per minute fees as they want you to rent their
desk top computers. A friend told me to just bring my laptop with me and sit
near the Internet cafe and I might be able to acces the Internet without
paying their fees. Do I need to set anythng up on my laptop or does it
connect automatically?
If the Internet Cafe uses a secure wireless w/encryption which requires a password,
you can sit there all day and never get a wireless connection. I would not
have much faith in doing what your friend suggests.

Let's assume they don't use a secure wireless w/encryption. Would I need to
set anything up on my laptop?
