Everytime I do a windows update for Vista, the Windows Media Player becomes
unusuable saying that Windows could not play the file (this happens for all
files that were able to play prior to a Windows Update) as does my Acer
hardware manager which encounters a problem everytime and needs to close
(again only after a Windows update). I have to do a system restore everytime
I do a Windows update to regain control of my programs. What is going on and
how can I keep Windows Media Player functioning after a Windows update?
Given the data so far, the hardware manager having problems sounds like the
biggest issue and the first one to tackle. =\
