Default windows sound themes

i lost my windows sound themes that come pre-packaged with the
system....i need to know how to restore and/or find them to restore
them....ok......i can go to sounds and make any sound i choose...but in
the drop down thingy there is nothing there where the windows sound
theme should be ...as in default or whatever...all else works but i
can't get any sound except whern i sign in to windows...some updates
were uploaded and after that i lost all..and can not get the sounds back
with restore...(forward or backward)..i hope i make sense telling
this....my sound theme is missing and no longer on my pc...do i have to
download my windows theme sounds or what...they are there in the
file..and play..how do i restore it back to sounds....eeven though its
already in a folder.....but not the sound format...i 'm lost and can't
explain it well...bear with me
