Windows Media Player: Closes, but Doesn't Shut Down
Hello.
I just got a new computer with Vista Home Premium, and have a question
about Windows Media Player. I've searched various help documentation
and could not find the answer, so I'd like to ask it here.
When I click the X toaster in the upper right hand corner, it does not
shut down the player. The player is not visible on screen, but it
still plays the media in the background.
Also, when I right-click the taskbar icon and select CLOSE, the same
thing happens.
In order to stop playing the media AND close the player, I have to
click the STOP button, and then close the player.
Is there a way to shut the player down completely, totally, by just
clicking the X toaster, or by selecting CLOSE in the taskbar icon's
right-click menu?
Re: Windows Media Player: Closes, but Doesn't Shut Down
Are you running Media Center or anything else that would be keeping WMP
running in the background...?
