Nine time out of 10, when I want to post to this group, I cannot sign in.
The log in box just never appears. I usually have to restart Windows mail
several times before I am successful. Once when it froze, I noticed in task
manager that Mail's log in was using 49% of my CPU power. (No wonder
everything froze up). Any ideas? I don't want to get frozen out because this
is the only place I've been getting any real help. My problems have been few
but I do like to fix them.
Thanks in advance for your help.
This is a bug in Windows Mail. The only option that signing in gives you is
the ability to 'rate' messages. Your newsgroup message will still be posted
without any problems.
You can get rid of these errors by simply disabling the newsgroup message
ratings features.
Tools/Options/General Tab. Remove the check mark from the 'Use newsgroup
message ratings features' option.

You should try Windows Live Mail!
It's better than Windows Mail, with all features of the previously mentioned
program + many great features!
I'm not saying it will help, or that it's better than the other solutions
here, I'm only saying, that it could help, and that you could like this
program better...
