Default Window's Vista Tune-Up

I just wanted to know if Tune-up still keeps on running when you press the
hibernate button because my tune-up is taking a while and I have nothing to
do so I was wondering if it still keeps on scanning and doing the rest of the
stuff if I put it in hibernate and I'm downloading some stuff with
BitTorrents and I wanted to know if those keep on downloading if the computer
is in hibernate?

Nope. You can not continue to do those things while the machine is in
sleep or hibernate mode.

nope, can you read while you are sleeping.
what are you worried about in not leaving the computer running, if it is the monitor, just set it to turn off after some minutes of none use and leave the computer running.
that's what I do.
allow the lcd to go to sleep but keep the computer running.
